Week in Review: Gold Medals, National Champs, Beasts and Snow!

Between sports, music, and general school happenings, last week at Franklin High was packed with activities. micca

Last weekend, the FHS music program went to MICCA, where both groups (wind ensemble and orchestra) each won silver. Franklin’s after school orchestra, the Franklin Repertory Orchestra, won gold and performed at Mechanic’s Hall in Worcester on Saturday.

Also last weekend, the FHS Cheerleaders won the national competition in New Jersey.

On Monday, all after school sports and activities were cancelled, due to unexpected snow in April.

Wednesday was a big day for Franklin Lacrosse, with both the girls and boys varsity teams playing Attleboro. The girls beat them with a score of 16 to 3, and boys won with a score of 13 to 0.

Thursday was a sad day for many seniors, as they said goodbye to their classmates and embarked on their senior projects.

Friday was opening night for Franklin High’s production of Beauty and the Beastimage (1)
Also on Friday, the boy’s lacrosse team went to BC high, but unfortunately lost with a score of 5 to 0.
